life's journey takes unexpected turns. it always persists, leaving behind the joys and sorrows of lessons learned, challenges made, and promises of change/renewal. you're simultaneously flooded with happy memories, and overwrought with guilt and regret. as my time in d.c. was winding down, i found myself questioning God's timing-it seemed too short, and i selfishly wanted more. now that i'm back, i realize God's timing is perfect. as much as i want to be there, i know i'm presently needed here.

they say change is good; i suppose it is. just wish it weren't always accompanied by tears...
